{"id":35508,"date":"2018-05-31T13:48:37","date_gmt":"2018-05-31T13:48:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/koumentakislaw.gr\/symmetoxh-se-hmerida-ths-samaras-kai-synergates-gia-to-gdpr\/"},"modified":"2025-12-17T09:51:32","modified_gmt":"2025-12-17T09:51:32","slug":"participation-in-workshop-for-gdpr","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/koumentakis.dev.beetroot.gr\/en\/news\/participation-in-workshop-for-gdpr\/","title":{"rendered":"Participation in SAMARAS &#038; PARTNERS\u2019 Workshop for GDPR"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]\u00a0<strong>KOUMENTAKIS &amp; ASSOCIATES Law Firm<\/strong> was invited and participated in the workshop for GDPR organized by <strong>SAMARAS &amp; PARTNERS<\/strong>, in which Mr. Constantinos Kornilakis, Partner of KOUMENTAKIS &amp; ASSOCIATES, made a presentation entitled \u201cIntroduction to the institutional framework for the protection of personal data: Rights and Obligations\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The workshop, which has been a great success, was held at the Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF) with the support of the <strong>Exporters&#8217; Association of Northern Greece<\/strong> and had the topic <strong>\u201cThe New European Regulation for the Protection of Personal Data (GDPR) and Useful Tools for Cyber Risk Insurance\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/koumentakislaw.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/koumentakis-and-associates-hmerida-samaras-for-gdpr-01.png.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-35502 size-large\" src=\"http:\/\/koumentakislaw.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/koumentakis-and-associates-hmerida-samaras-for-gdpr-01.png-1917x1080.jpg\" alt=\"hmerida-samaras-for-gdpr-speakers-panel\" width=\"1917\" height=\"1080\" \/><\/a>The purpose of the workshop for GDPR was to inform companies on the requirements of <strong>Regulation 2016\/679 (GDPR)<\/strong> and on the basic guidelines and actions that each company should take to comply with the Regulation. In addition, useful tools for cyber risk insurance were presented by AIG GREECE.<\/p>\n<p><em>Mr. Grigoris Tassios, President of the Panhellenic Federation of Hoteliers, and Mr. Kyriakos Loufakis, President of the Exporters\u2019 Association of Northern Greece<\/em>, welcomed the participants and contributed to raising awareness and concerns of the stakeholders and in this context, of the entrepreneurs, scientists and representatives of the organizations that attended the workshop.
