Stavros Koumentakis is the Founder and Managing Partner of KOUMENTAKIS & ASSOCIATES Law Firm, which is recognized for professional gravitas and is exclusively dedicated to supporting modern, sound entrepreneurship.
He has significant experience, now approaching four decades, as Legal Counsel and/or Head of Legal for major Greek and multinational companies and legal entities, including in the sectors of banking, capital markets, services, education and skills certification, tourism and industry. These include entities in the banking sector, capital markets, services, education & knowledge certification, tourism, and industry.
He provides high level advisory services to principal shareholders and senior management on matters including corporate strategy, planning and restructuring of corporate groups, corporate reorganisations and transformations, crisis management, family businesses and business succession planning.
He has extensive litigation experience across the full spectrum of civil law, labour and employment law, commercial law, and, in particular, corporate law.
He has an extensive publishing record, approaching five hundred (500) articles, published on leading news and business and economic websites, and has delivered a very large number of speeches, presentations and seminars on contemporary and critical legal topics of interest to businesses, always with a business-oriented perspective. His subject matter includes, indicatively, business development and financing, compliance and alignment with key obligations arising under the national and EU regulatory framework (for example, AI, ESG, GDPR, and Cyber Security, NIS2), family business issues, as well as the full range of core matters relating to the Greek Société Anonyme (S.A., A.E.) and employment relationships.
