For us, a legal advisor is neither an external observer nor a formal business expense. A legal advisor is a strategic partner — an active part of the company’s thinking, operation and development. History
- The story begins back in 1988, with the launch of Stavros Koumentakis’ independent legal practice, alongside his position as Legal Counsel to the Bank of Macedonia-Thrace.
From that point onwards, the direction was clear: bringing together the strengths of several capable lawyers, combined with specialisation, as a necessary condition for achieving the best possible result. - The next major milestone came in 1996 and was marked by three significant developments: S. Koumentakis’ appointment as Legal Counsel to the Bank, the launch of substantial activity in Athens, and the relocation to the firm’s privately owned premises on Mitropoleos Street.
The opportunities that emerged in the following years in the fields of capital markets and business were significant. The termination of S. Koumentakis’ 18-year permanent professional relationship with the banking sector became absolutely necessary. - From the very first month of 2000, the opportunity arose for a new, exceptionally interesting — and pioneering at the time — dual “journey” in Thessaloniki and Athens, with a balanced presence in both cities on a weekly basis ever since.
- The next landmark year was 2010, when the activity of the Law Firm became focused on the business sector.
- The relocation, in early 2017, to the new premises on Nikis Avenue, next to the Thermaic Gulf and the White Tower, seemed inevitable and, on many levels, liberating. Since then, the firm’s social presence has also intensified.
